Becoming Net Zero by 2030
Our mission is to create an environmentally sustainable future for the children that attend our nurseries and would like to commit to becoming Carbon Net Zero by 2030 – 20 years earlier than the government target. This means that across our nurseries we will add no more carbon than we remove.
We are currently committed to taking action in 5 areas:
- Carbon Tracking – establishing effective environmental measurement and accounting systems.
- Engaging our parents, local community and children in our environmental projects and launching fundraising efforts.
- Reducing our water and energy consumption.
- Generating our own renewable energy onsite.
- Reducing our use of single use goods, such as plastic and paper.
